The battery short circuit tester is designed based on various battery short circuit test standard requirements, and is required to meet the battery performance standard specifications. According to the standard requirements, the short circuit device must comply with different internal resistance tests to obtain the maximum short circuit current required by the test.
The tester is composed of a sheet metal chassis, a high current switch, a resistor part, a control system, a safety protection system, a data acquisition system, etc.

Functional features

A high-current switch produced by an internationally renowned electrical company is used as a short-circuit device.

The new short-circuit device has lower power and adopts full electric control. It can be used immediately after power-on without the need for a gas source.

The overall circuit design of the control cabinet is reasonable, and it can meet different test requirements with resistance boxes of different resistance values.

It has the function of monitoring and recording the changes in battery surface temperature and voltage.

Self-protection function: The equipment's own overvoltage, overcurrent and other protections. Avoid short circuits caused by misoperation of testers. The experimental area and the control area are separated to ensure the safety and life of the short-circuit host.

The equipment has grounding protection, overcurrent protection, leakage protection, short circuit protection, over-temperature protection, fast fuse protection, door switch protection and other protection functions.

The equipment has an "emergency stop" button, which is convenient for emergency handling in critical situations. After the "emergency stop" button is pressed, the short-circuit test action stops.

There is a smoke exhaust port in the explosion-proof box test area. The equipment is equipped with a smoke exhaust fan and a reserved exhaust duct interface, which can discharge smoke through the duct.

There is a pressure relief port and a pressure relief door at the rear of the explosion-proof box. When the pressure in the box is too high, the pressure relief door will automatically open to relieve the pressure. An explosion-proof chain is installed between the pressure relief door and the box body to prevent the pressure relief door from detaching from the box body due to excessive pressure.

There is a lighting lamp installed in the explosion-proof box, and the outside of the lighting lamp is protected by a tempered glass protective cover to prevent flames and projectiles from damaging the lighting lamp. The lighting lamp and the tempered glass protective cover use standard accessories and are connected to the test box body using standard detachable fasteners for easy disassembly and replacement.

The front door of the explosion-proof box is designed with an observation window. The observation window glass is tempered glass and is affixed with an explosion-proof film.

The explosion-proof box is designed with a test hole and equipped with a test hole rubber plug to facilitate the placement of temperature, voltage and other collection lines.

1. The software uses LabVIEW, and the human-computer interaction interface uses the standard Windows style. The operation is simple and easy to learn, and can meet normal control and acquisition calculations.

2. The software interface parameter units can be selected (s, min, h; A, mA).

3. The software interface can set the sampling rate, battery voltage, temperature, temperature box temperature, short-circuit time, etc., and synchronously display the short-circuit current curve.

4. Short-circuit current and voltage sampling must be synchronized, and the time error must not exceed 0.01ms. The voltage, cell voltage, and thermocouple temperature acquisition channels must be synchronized with the sampling of the short-circuit device, and the time error must not exceed 0.1s.

5. The battery current, voltage, and temperature can be measured in real time, and the current, voltage, temperature values and time curves can be displayed in real time.

6. The temperature of the temperature box can be measured in real time, and the temperature values and time curves can be displayed in real time.

7. For the above four time curves, the tester can selectively or fully record and display the data.

8. Automatically record and save the test data and automatically complete the test process.

9. The data of each test can be saved in an EXCEL document or other document format, and can be retrieved for viewing when needed, historical test data, curves, etc.
