Battery Extrusion Puncture Tester

The battery extrusion puncture tester is mainly used to simulate the safety and reliability testing of batteries after being extruded, deformed or punctured under different conditions. Through the laboratory extrusion puncture test, the battery is simulated to be deformed or punctured by a steel needle due to external force collision, and the test data is obtained at the same time, providing experimental data and basis for optimizing product design, as well as safety risk assessment and verification.
The equipment consists of a servo system, an extrusion part, a puncture part, a control system, a safety protection system, a data acquisition system, etc.

Features

The equipment adopts a four-column structure to ensure the stability of position and direction during the test. In addition, the structural strength is analyzed by finite element software to ensure high strength requirements.

The bottom platform of the equipment is welded as a whole, with high rigidity, corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance. It will not deform, loosen or break after long-term use.

All electrical connections are marked with wires, and all electrical components are marked with functional descriptions. Safety signs such as anti-electric shock and anti-mechanical injury are also provided.

The start, stop, and emergency stop buttons are installed on the equipment panel. When the stop or emergency stop button is pressed, the equipment must be able to disconnect the main power supply. After the emergency stop button is reset, the main power supply of the equipment must be able to be connected when the start button is pressed again.

There is a smoke exhaust port in the test area, the equipment is equipped with a smoke exhaust fan and a reserved exhaust duct interface.

There is a pressure relief port at the rear of the equipment and a pressure relief door is installed. When the pressure in the box is too high, the pressure relief door will automatically open to release the pressure. An explosion-proof chain is installed between the pressure relief door and the box to prevent the pressure relief door from detaching from the box due to excessive pressure.

A lighting lamp is installed in the test chamber, and the outside of the lighting lamp is protected by a tempered glass protective cover to prevent damage to the lighting lamp by flames and projectiles. The lighting lamp and the tempered glass protective cover use standard accessories and are connected to the test chamber using standard detachable fasteners for easy removal and replacement.

The front door of the equipment is designed with an observation window, which is made of tempered glass and has explosion-proof film.

A test hole is designed on one side of the device, equipped with a test hole rubber plug to facilitate the placement of temperature, voltage and other collection lines.

1. The software uses LabVIEW, and the human-computer interaction interface uses the standard Windows style, which is easy to learn.

2. The software interface parameter units can be selected (Kg, KN, N, T, mm, cm, s, min, h, etc.)

3. The software interface can set the sampling rate, battery voltage, temperature, extrusion force, deformation, speed, displacement, holding time, etc., and display the curve synchronously.

4. The extrusion pressure, speed, and displacement can be measured in real time, and the time-pressure, speed, and displacement curves can be displayed in real time.

5. The extrusion deformation and deformation ratio can be calculated and displayed, and the time-deformation (deformation ratio) curve can be displayed in real time.

6. The battery voltage change status can be collected, and the voltage-time curve can be displayed in real time.

7. For the above time curve, the tester can record and display the data selectively or in full.

8. The experimental cutoff conditions can select four cutoff conditions: pressure, deformation (displacement), temperature, and voltage, and any conditions can be combined.

9. Testers can compile multi-step test conditions and store them as fixed "test condition files" for later call-up and execution, without having to set the conditions for each multi-step test process each time.

10. The data of each test can be saved in an EXCEL document, which can be called out to view, print, and output historical test data, curves, etc. when needed.
